I've spent quite a bit of time trying to find the best re-textures and cosmetic mods for my game. GrassOnSteroids_NaturalEdition_Vanilla.espĭD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp My current build mod load order used with Baltics Lithuania ENB on perf setting, vivid on perf settings: There are ones that reduce textures for each snow or rain particle, for example, that could reward you with some FPS savings and maybe can get your ENB working better without loosing any quality, actually gaining visual quality and immersion. Lower end machines, might want to try 'icebine3' instead which uses some effects but is not an ENB - but you know, still looks pretty good!Īlso get grass on steroids and bigger trees - look for mods that use a smaller texture like these mods but somehow manage to look way better than vanilla. I was lagging to much (too much FPS hits). I did try the higher settings and while the game looked amazing.

I still ended up with a great looking game, decent FPS, hasn't crashed yet (about 20 hours in). I have a pretty decent rig but I wanted everything - a good looking game and tons of cool mods that add to the game immensely - so I selected the Baltics ENB Lithuania (more perf less quality) ENB and also went to the lowest setting selections on Vivid during the fomod install. If you don't plan to install a barrage of gameplay mods and just want a beautiful 'vanilla' skyrim with maybe SkyUI AND you have a high end PC rig, then go for the highest settings in the ENB and weather/cllimate mods. Last note on ENBs, you'll want to be realistic with what you want out of the game. I used the newer Vivid weather package which also installed ELFX lite: I tried Technochromatic earlier and it ran crappy on my machine so you'll want to try a few out, see what you like: pair the ENB with the author's recommended Weather and lighting overhaul. The guide and the author's post lists all the newer 0305-based ENBs (handy list) I used Baltics ENB, I love what it did with incorporting additional (sweetfx?) effects. Optimize game then pick your 0305 version-based ENB flavor. This guide is the one people seem to mostly go for - hot looking NPCs and player, CBBE or UNP, HDT, FNIS animations with sexy sexy: Well - this link is a good guide if you want to keep as vanilla, don't care about bouncing jigglies:
